Stonington's Town Clerk issues certified copies of vital records (birth, death, and marriage certificates) for events that occurred in Stonington.

Steps

    Pay the fee ($15 per certified copy for most records).

    Records are typically available the same day for in-person requests. Mail requests take 5–10 business days.

Good to know

Birth records are restricted. Only the registrant (if 18+), parents, legal guardians, or legal representatives may obtain certified birth certificates. Death and marriage records are generally available to any requester.
