Airport Committee
The Airport Committee advises the Select Board on matters relating to the Stonington Municipal Airport (1B3), including maintenance, development, and policy.
Appeals Board
The Appeals Board hears and decides appeals from decisions of the Code Enforcement Officer and Planning Board, and grants variances from land use ordinances where warranted.
Colwell Ramp Committee
The Colwell Ramp Committee oversees the maintenance and operation of the Colwell public boat ramp, ensuring continued access to the water for Stonington residents and fishermen.
Harbor Committee
The Harbor Committee advises the Select Board on all matters relating to Stonington's working harbor, including mooring policy, pier operations, and waterfront planning.
Microloan Committee
The Microloan Committee administers Stonington's small business microloan program, reviewing applications and awarding loans to support local business development.
Planning Board
The Planning Board reviews subdivision applications, site plan reviews, and proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and land use ordinances.
Shellfish Conservation Committee
The Shellfish Conservation Committee works to protect and sustainably manage Stonington's shellfish resources, including clam flat monitoring and conservation programs.
