Register to Vote
Maine residents who are U.S. citizens and at least 17 years old (must be 18 by Election Day to vote) can register to vote at the Town Clerk's office.
Steps

Visit the Town Clerk's office with proof of identity and Maine residency.

Complete the voter registration form (also available online at maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/voter-info).

You may also register by mail or online. Mail-in deadline is 21 days before an election.

Maine also allows Election Day registration — you can register and vote on the same day.

Good to know
Maine has same-day voter registration — you can register and vote on Election Day at your polling place. Stonington's polling location is Town Hall at 32 Main Street.
