Register Your Dog
All dogs 6 months or older must be licensed in Maine by January 31 of each year. Dog licenses are available at the Town Clerk's office.
Steps

Bring proof of current rabies vaccination for your dog.

If your dog is spayed or neutered, bring proof from your veterinarian.

Visit the Town Clerk's office between January 1 and January 31.

Pay the license fee: $6 (spayed/neutered) or $11 (unaltered). A $25 late fee applies after January 31.

Your dog will receive a license tag to wear on their collar.

Good to know
Dog licenses expire December 31. A $25 late fee is added if you license after January 31. Kennels with more than 5 dogs require a kennel license instead of individual licenses.
