Register an ATV or Snowmobile

ATVs and snowmobiles used in Maine must be registered annually. Registrations are available at the Town Clerk's office.

Steps

    Bring your current registration (renewal) or proof of purchase/ownership.

  2. 2

    Provide valid ID.

  3. 3

    Pay the registration fee.

  4. 4

    ATV: $33 | Snowmobile: $46 (fees subject to change — confirm current rates with Town Clerk).

  5. 5

    Receive registration certificate and number to display on the vehicle.

Good to know

Maine resident ATV and snowmobile registrations are valid for the registration year (July 1 – June 30). Non-residents may purchase non-resident registrations.
