Apply for a Plumbing Permit

A plumbing permit is required for new plumbing installations, replacements, and subsurface wastewater disposal systems (septic systems) in Stonington.

Steps

    Contact the Plumbing Inspector to discuss your project.

    Complete the Subsurface Wastewater Disposal System application (for septic) or the Internal Plumbing Permit application.

    For septic systems, a licensed site evaluator must complete a soil evaluation and design.

    Submit your completed application with required plans and fee.

    The Plumbing Inspector will review and issue the permit if the application is complete and compliant.

    Schedule inspections as required during installation.
